The Burning Plain
Screenwriter Guillermo Arriaga, the one of “21 Grams”, employs a very peculiar narrative style to tell stories of different characters, Charlize Theron’s Sylvia, Jennifer Lawrence’s Marina, and Kim Basinger’s Gina. At first everything seems a bit messy (various threads seemingly insignificant) but then the plot gets poignant though a little oppressive. Acting performances are affecting and strong (especially Charlize Theron), the tone is progressively melodramatic. It’s undeniable that The Burning Plain possesses the style of a strong drama, never run-of-the-mill and with an emotional resonance resembling 21 Grams. Overall a very good sad film, with a finale that strikes a lot.

Blind Folds: Acts of Obsession
A pretty decent erotic thriller about a serial killer who has a tough time having bang with his wife (Shannen). What a smuck cause shes (was) very amazing. She sure had a good silicone bloke.

Entourage
I know that the show has only started however I must comment on this show. It’s realistically innovative as it takes four friends from N.Y., one who happens to be an actor w/ the other three along for the ride. It really gives an insight as to what actors nowadays go through as far as roles taken and career moves - not to mention a reaction off of a bad review from a critic. With that said all of the characters are likable but so far it’s Kevin Connolly and Dillon who are standing out so far, the other two play their parts respectively well and I’m hoping this show does well as I’m already treating it with the same respect as I’d treat The Wire and The Sopranos…Entourage is a lot of fun for the one episode I’ve seen, I plan to watch more of it as well…
